The title "side guitar" has nothing to do with the style of music which is presented on this disc. The term was used in the 1960s-70s, referring to a guitar part and/or a guitarist accompanying a lead guitarist or a singer in a pop/rock group. I assume this use of the term was peculiar to Japan. So...Japanglish? However, I always wished to become a "side" guitarist when I was a teenager.
