This label was started by Hidenobu Kaneda, manager of the concert coordinating company GK Planning, as well as a musician who heads the group project Yuragi. Test handled the work of musicians who contributed to the Japanese independent music scene, whom Kaneda came to know through his work at GK Planning.

The label is no longer active, because Creativeman Disc., which manufactured and distributed its CDs, discontinued it in 1998.
